Zaal Lomtadze is a Chief of Section in the Environment Division and the secretary to the UNECE Committee on Environmental Policy at the United Nations.[1] Lomtadze joined the UN in 2012 and previously worked as the Head of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Service of Georgia (1995-2012), as well as a lecturer in physics for Kutaisi Polytechnic Institute (1986-1990). Lomtadze received his M.Sc. (with honours) in Physics from Tbilisi State University in Georgia, as well as an M.Sc. in Environmental Policy and Management from Lund University in Sweden.
